Dear Transit Rider:

Senator Chris Dodd, Chairman of the Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee, has introduced emergency legislation with a number of his Senate colleagues to authorize $2.0 billion in emergency operating assistance for transit. This bill would distribute funds made available to help restore and prevent service reductions and layoffs, or fare increases due to decreased state and local funding through September 30, 2011.

Please voice your support of this bill which would help ensure that AC Transit’s riders can continue to have public transportation service to access work, school medical care and other vital services in our operating area.

CONTACT your Senator today!
A phone call is the most effective, but an e-mail or faxed letter is good too.
